Gigavac were considered the darling of the high voltage relay industry back-in-the-days and historically used the tag line “Today's Expert in High Voltage Relay”.
They were founded in 2002 by the management team that built Kilovac before the Kilovac brand was sold to TE Connectivity. Their Chief Scientist, now deceased, was the VP of Engineering for Jennings Technology and held most of the patents for the relays used in the industry today.
GIGAVAC offers a wide selection of high voltage relays and sealed DC/AC contactors. Gigavac uses a wide range of technologies including reed, vacuum, ceramic and gas filled. Today the lead times are extremely long and the company has suffered a lot after GIGAVAC was sold to SENSATA and shut down - Gigavac then moved all operations to Mexico and China. It is almost impossible to get something off-the-shelf from their Representatives & Distributors due to lack of design and sourcing knowledge after the company was sold to SENSATA in 2018.
